When to Visit Kalam

Each season reshapes Kalam. Spring’s thaw and wildflowers reopen forest trails; summer brings cool air and long days for lake trips to Mahodand and Kundol and strolls through Ushu. In autumn, clear skies and golden pines meet quieter valleys perfect for photography. Winter wraps everything in snow for serene, fire-lit stays; do note that access beyond Kalam (Ushu/Mahodand) can be weather dependent, so plan a 4×4 and a flexible schedule.
